Barakah claims against PetGas

PETALING JAYA: BARAKAH OFFSHORE PETROLEUM BHD is making a claim of RM179.84mil against PETRONAS GAS BHD (PetGas).
In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, Barakah said its wholly-owned subsidiary PBJV Group Sdn Bhd has served a notice of demand to PetGas yesterday for the claims.
It said the basis of the claims included the loss and expenses incurred under extension of times by PBJV under a procurement, construction and commissioning contract worth RM30.44mil for the Pengerang gas pipeline project and PBJV’s loss of the balance of the contract price of the project arising from and in connection with the signing of the Global Settlement Agreement for RM24.48mil.
It also covered three change notices submitted by PBJV to PetGas.
