Atap.co, a Malaysia online home design platform has partnered with China’s e-commerce marketplace Taobao to set up the first Taobao Home Experience Centre at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya.

The new retail concept store is the outcome of a partnership with Taobao’s home & living channel Jiyoujia (极有家), which introduces home and living products on the platform.

Malaysian shoppers can see, touch and feel products from Jiyoujia at the 4,500sq ft centre before making purchases online.

“The Experience Centre is more than just a showroom. It’s designed as a one-stop shop to link the gap between online and offline shopping experience. Customers can browse any Jiyoujia products at the Experience Centre and use their mobile phones to scan the QR codes attached on the products for more information.
